A current culinary student at Jefferson Community and Technical College, Michaela Donelson started her internship program with a local Louisville Non-Profit agency Feed Louisville. Feed Louisville Depending puts together approximately 250 to 400 meals which are taken directly to people experiencing homelessness.

This non-profit agency started at the beginning of the pandemic and is hopeful to continue it's internship program with Jefferson Community and Technical College's Culinary program in the future.

“We don't consider you a successful culinary program graduate if you're not working before you graduate as a full-time chef somewhere," said JCTC Culinary Director Cathy Crowder-Johnson. "I think (Feed Louisville) is a safe environment for any chef to grow and learn."
